About Us

“The Standard”, is a Colorado non-profit corporation formed in 2004, whose mission is to help those in need, including other non-profits raise the funds required to operate.  Our goal is to financially help organizations that  actively work to improve the quality of life in our communities and world.    You can help us accomplish our mission by participating in our fundraising events. With your help we can achieve our dream of raising over $1,000,000 for charity.

“The Standard” is operated by a Board of Directors.  The Board is responsible for planning, organizing and hosting different events, and also running the day to day affairs of the business.  Currently there is no one on the pay-roll and all work is done on a volunteer basis.  This allows, “The Standard” to pass along a very high rate of our incoming donations to the charities of choice.

Our goal is to pass along at least 90% of all net proceeds to other charitable organizations.  For more financial information on our organization please click here.

Current and Recent Events include:

  3. On Saturday, September 8th, Board Members helped host the first annual pancake breakfast in Fort Collins with the purpose of helping “Blevins Junior High School” build a new weight room and training facility.  The Standard organized and ran the silent and the live auctions which raised over $3,500 for the school.

THE LITTLE SISTERS FUND

The Little Sisters Fund (previously known as the Bahini Fund for Nepali Girls Education, Inc.) is a scholarship and mentoring program for motivated Nepalese girls living in extreme poverty. Without Fund support, these girls might be forced to discontinue school, and would be susceptible to child labor, child marriage, and/or child trafficking (including the international sex industry). Currently supporting the education of 100 girls in Nepal.    The Little Sisters Fund has:

  1. Supported over 500 individual years of education in our first six years.

  2. Established a 1,500 volume library in Nepal.

  3. Provide basic health care for all the little sisters.

  4. Established a small computer center in Nepal.

As we start our 4th year of operation we have given $65,900.04 to other charitable organizations and charitable causes.  That leaves us $934,099.96 away from meeting our long term goal.  Please let us know if you would be interested in donating your time or money to “The Standard”.
